Your electric bill is $160/month … and … expect more blackouts

Portland General Electric is raising your electric rates up 5% next month.

This will bring the average utility bill to $160 a month according to OPB.

This comes as Oregon is predicting more mass blackouts on an annual basis in the next few years.

This comes as Oregon is spending $24 million of our tax dollars on charging stations for wealthy electric vehicle owners.  That is on top of a nearly a quarter billion in other electric vehicle subsidies (vehicle tax credits, charging stations).   Those EV drain the grid of limited electricity — thus driving up our home electric prices.
