HB 2300: Inspired by Jonathan Tallman?

HB 2300 is a bipartisan bill sponsored by Representative Kevin Mannix (R-Keizer) and Senator Janeen Sollman (D-Hillsboro) that protects a person who discloses sexual misconduct from civil action. I wonder if Jonathan Tallman of Boardman, Oregon, inspired it.

I wrote about Tallman last year. He’s suing the woman who accused him of sexual harassment.

The legislation looks fine to me. Think of it as a free speech bill, and I tend to support free speech.
