Salem, OR–Rep. Bill Kennemer (R-Canby) has filed for another term as State Representative for Oregon House District 39.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to represent my constituents for the last five years,” Kennemer said. “As such, I am asking the people of House District 39 to send me back to Salem for another term so I can continue working on the issues that are most important to them.”

Prior to his election to the House in November 2008, Kennemer served as a Clackamas County Commissioner and in the Oregon Senate from 1987 to 1996. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and maintained a successful private practice in the Milwaukie area for over 25 years.

Kennemer noted that with his history of public service he is able to provide quality constituent services to the people he represents, “and being a member with seniority, there’s a bit more clout and opportunity to impact our efforts in Salem for serving constituents.”

Top issues and priorities for Rep. Kennemer include enabling small, local businesses to create and maintain more jobs, sustaining a high quality of life for all Oregonians, investing in public and higher education and holding the line on taxes and spending.

Rep. Kennemer currently serves as co-vice chair of the House Business and Labor Committee. He is also a member of the Health Care and Rules committees.

“My committee assignments enable me to provide input on laws affecting our health care system, as well as those that deal with the critical issues that business owners face on a daily basis,” Rep. Kennemer said. “I am eager to continue serving and representing the people of House District 39.”

House District 39 includes Canby, Barlow, Estacada, Barton, Beavercreek, Boring, Carus, Charbonneau, Eagle Creek, Fishers Mill, Mulino, Redland and portions of Damascus, Happy Valley and rural Oregon City.

NIMBY RINO Kennemer, still waiting for your cogent rationale explaining as to why you turned your back on the folks who tried to save a delineated wetland from Centex scrape and rape developers at the Emerson PUD site on SE Norma Rd. .

You think this guy will address you here? Ha.

Wonderful ad. It completely avoids revealing anything about the rep’s thoughts, postiions, or governing philosophy, other than the most banal and meager of high-level freshman philosophy.

Kennemer sounds like a milquetoast to me. Looks like a certainty.
