Former GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Bud Pierce launches podcast

Oregon Crossroads from Dr. Bud Pierce

Last week, former Republican nominee for Governor — Bud Pierce — launched a new podcast called Oregon Crossroads. The purpose of the show is to facilitate a conversation about the real problems Oregon is facing and how they can be solved.

There is but one answer in times of both prosperity and in hardship, freedom.  When government takes too much of the people’s hard-earned money, there is not enough left for innovation and entrepreneurship.  Government inhibits the development of new goods and services through excessive regulations that tend to favor the established over the new.  Powerful businesses and powerful state employee unions easily manipulate government, often to the detriment of the common good.

Good government is restrained, seeking to limit its own power and works very hard not to waste a single dollar of the people’s hard-earn money that are paid in fees and taxes. Good government sees itself in service of the people, not in charge of people’s lives.

In this forum, Oregon Crossroads, we will have honest discussions about the problems that we face, and how we can solve them.  All manner of social, political, and economic problems will be discussed.  There are no boundaries. Problems of local, state, national, and/or international nature will be our interest.  We are interested in the ideas of the people, the people who live and work in the trenches of life.
