Mere days ago the House used a shadow amendment to steal part of you’re your Kicker Tax Refund. Shocked lawmakers, both Democrat and Republicans, did not know until the last minute what was in the bill. It was too late. The liberal majority used a budget gimmick to reduce the size of your kicker refund. The state has projected your 2020 Kicker Refund will be $336. IF HB 2975 becomes law, it will be much less.

This week they have a bill, SJR 23, which would abolish the Kicker Tax Refund for good.

You will likely never see a Kicker Tax Refund from the state ever again. When the state over-collects tax revenue they will now keep it unless you speak up. The 35+ year old Kicker law is a vital Oregon promise.
