Call your Senator: Stop the cell-phone tax

House Bill 2184 is a cell-phone tax that will hurt low income Oregonians, the homeless, students and everyday people trying to get out of debt.   This cell-phone tax comes on top of the $3.1 billion in brand new Oregon taxes passed by Oregon lawmakers in 2019.  This $3.1 billion includes the $2.6 billion business sales tax, the partial raid on the people’s Kicker Income Tax Refund and the hospital tax.

Please call your State Senator at the Capitol switchboard 1-800-332-2313 and ask to speak to your State Senator (if you do not know who your State Senator is, you can ask the operator at this phone number to help you by providing your address). Once connected tell your State Senator’s office kindly that you oppose HB 2184 the cell-phone tax.
