The latest Wall Street Journal state-by-state comparison chart (5/21) shows that Oregon is among the 20 states still under tighter restrictions.

Compare this to where Oregon was at the beginning of the month on May 2 and you cannotice a small incremental difference.

Thankfully, Oregon has remained a low death rate state, with the average deaths per 100,000 being 1.8, which is far lower than the national average of 12 per 100,000 (NY Times 4/22).

Oregon’s slow re-opening fits Gov. Brown’s baby steps strategy.

What is is your opinion?   Will the baby-step idea help stem a second virus surge? What are the cost of this strategy? What should Oregon be doing next?
