Oregon economy: 35th in job recovery

Wallet Hub ranked 50 states in their post-shutdown recovery bounce back metric.  WalletHub examined unemployment rate and changes in state unemployment (using May 2020, January 2020, and May 2020).

Maybe raising the state’s largest tax increase (CAT tax) which went into effect in the middle of the shutdown was not such a good idea after all.  Maybe the tri-county regional government METRO passing a quarter billion new income and business tax last month may hamper the already difficult job recovery in Oregon.
