GS Strategy Group conducted a poll on behalf of No on Measure 26-218 – Stop the Metro Wage Tax conducted September 2-6, 2020 among 600 likely voters and found the measure failing to achieve majority support by a large margin.
Question: Should Metro fund roads, transit, safety improvements, bridge repair, and transportation programs by establishing tax on certain employers at a rate of .75% of payroll?”
The public did not find METRO’s rationale very convincing.
