METRO’s wage tax hits workers…and taxes churches, charities

Measure 26-218 is a new wage tax by METRO regional government and it creates a new $5.2 billion tax on people’s wages. This mamouth tax will tax everythign from employers, colleges, churches, charities and all sorts of non-profits.

The METRO wage tax is permanent, so it is not going anywhere even after the transportation projects are finished and paid for.

The METRO tax does not require voter approval if METRO decides to raise it.
