Portland riots, defund police help unleash staggering crime wave

New data from Portland Police (via Morgan Romero) show an explosion of homicides in 2021 which can be attributed to Portland liberal politicians defund police and cutting 100 positions.  Also contributing is the 170 day riots and nearly 1,000 riot charges that have been excused by Multnomah District Attorney Mike Schmidt, which have greatly strained police resources.

The chart shows how previous 3-month homicide count (Jan.-Mar.) went from 6 (2019) to 2 (2020) to 25 (2021).
