Oregon Governor Kate Brown is facing a federal lawsuit challenging her extended State of Emergency during the COVID-19 event.

Sandy Mayor Stan Pulliam announced the lawsuit on Monday with the Heart of Main Street, the Oregon Mom’s Union, and other people and businesses.

The lawsuit is slated to be filed this week and it seeks to challenge Brown’s authority to use executive action to extend the state of emergency. The mayor has been an outspoken critic of the lockdown rules since 2020.
