KGW-TV did a story on how Portland collected 176,000 needles off the street.

Collections are up 450% since 2019.

The County gives out several million needles for free to homeless every year.

Because they are seen everywhere, these needles act like an official city flower of the City of Portland.

 

KGW-TV took this video awhile back about a pile of needles left outside a restaurant.
