Representative Helfrich Continues to Advocate for Funding for Hood River-White Salmon Bridge

HOOD RIVER, OR – Today, Representative Jeff Helfrich (R-Hood River) joined with state legislators from both Oregon and Washington to tour the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge and discuss the replacement project.

“Anyone who has driven across the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge knows it is in desperate need of replacement. The bridge handles 4.5 million crossings each year and is vital for my constituents traveling to Washington and for Washingtonians traveling to my district.

Funding for this bridge replacement was one of my top priorities for the 2023 legislative session and I am proud to have secured $20 million from the State of Oregon to move this project forward.

I appreciate my colleagues from Oregon and our counterparts in Washington who joined today’s tour and I look forward to continuing to advocate for transportation funding for House District 52.”
