$350K election mascot, Blobby, failed to increase turnout

Last year the Secretary of State rolled out their $350,000.00 project of the Blobby cartoon to increase voting.

It didn’t work.

Voting from this Primary compared to last was down nearly 10%.

Blobby was used to celebrate Star Wars Day as a way to look hip and cool with voters and increase voter turn-out.

We would rather use the $350,000.00 to have the Secretary of State to answer their phones and be open during 100% of the time during business hours.
