There have not been many early large political signs in the Portland Metro and coastal areas, until Congressional Candidate #6, Mike Erickson, started barnstorming the area last week in Beaverton, along the coast (photo) and more.

This reflects the boost from polling showing a tight race in Congress #6 race between incumbent Andrea Salinas (D) and challenger Mike Erickson (R).

The race was also listed among the top ones to watch in the nation.

The media, last week, noted the weakness of incumbent Andrea Salinas.   Here is one headline from the Oregon Capitol Chronicle.

Candidate Mike Erickson seems to be taking the initiative.
