Scenes like this drove shop to flee Portland for Tigard

KATU-2 has a great story of a business owner who left Portland for Tigard.

He faced …

* senseless acts of multiple people throwing rocks at his business.
* constant looting of his air conditioner
* daily discoveries of used drug needles around his property
* urination and human waste.

This story came at the same time it was announced that U.S. Bank was leaving their namesake U.S. Bank tower (also known as Big Pink) for Gresham.

This is also why Portland closed their only REI store this year, and they only exist outside of the City of Portland.

Portland needs to turn this around.

P.S. Once a business repairs their windows their insurance rates are at risk of  sky-rocketing because those insurance companies are getting a rise of vandalism claims as the neighborhood becomes a high risk zone.
