Biden: Lying as He Walks Out the Door

On the Sunday following Thanksgiving, President Joe Biden (D) pardoned his son Hunter despite repeatedly vowing that he would accept the judgment of the court in both cases and that he would not under any circumstances pardon Hunter. If you were one of the half dozen people – outside of the mainstream media maggots who have buried all of Mr. Biden’s other lies and other nefarious dealings – that believed Mr. Biden, then you should have your head examined.

Of course he was going to pardon Hunter. What father with unlimited pardon authority wouldn’t pardon his child – particularly if the crimes charged did not involve physical violence. More importantly, what father, who having led his son into the web of corruption that will be the legacy of Mr. Biden, would not pardon a child whose downfall he himself caused.

For the fifty plus years Mr. Biden has held high public office I have viewed him as a sleazeball. At first he was just a run of the mill sleazeball like many of his Senate colleagues – a man trying to make himself something he was not – interesting. First there were the lies about his athletic heroics, then his academic prowess, and finally his exploits in standing up to physical danger. And along the way he corrupted his religious being by pretending to be a devout Catholic while being a champion of unlimited, taxpayer funded abortion on the demand up to and including the moment of birth.* The common thread was that none of it was true. From his hair plugs, to his new teeth, to his sartorial splendor, and his pious attendance at a Church that considered his support of abortion to be a disqualifier to receive the sacraments. Joe Biden has always been and to this day is a lying phony.

Somewhere along the line, Mr. Biden bowed to corruption – using his governmental position to enhance his financial health. He may have learned it from former Democrat presidential aspirant Hillary Clinton (D) who went from dead broke on her exit from the White House as First Lady to an estimated wealth in excess of $150 Million without holding an actual job. There is no end to the opportunities for corruption when you have a public office and the sure knowledge that the mainstream media will cover for you. But Mr. Biden, who was stupid before he was cognitively challenged, failed that part of corruption that requires being discreet – particularly after he relied on his son to be his bagman.

Mr. Biden’s pardon of Hunter is for all crimes committed during a period extending ten years back. It is basically a re-creation of the “plea deal” that the Justice Department tried to ram through for Hunter earlier but was stopped by a judge who demanded answers as to the form and substance of the proposed plea arrangement. Whether you like it or not, whether it smells of a cover up for Joe Biden or not, and whether Mr. Biden lied about it back then or now, it is within the power of the President of the United States to grant such pardons. So dry your eyes and move on. Hunter Biden has demonstrated that there are two legal systems in America – the one to which you and I are bound and the one that cheats the system at every turn for the rich and powerful. The one that has put others charged and convicted of the same crimes for which Hunter was tried and convicted but which resulted in substantial prison terms for them. The “two-tiered” system against which Mr. Biden and all of the leaders of the Democrat Party have railed and demanded that it end. So Hunter goes free and there is nothing you can do about it.

But wait, Mr. Biden’s pardon of Hunter has created a significant problem for Hunter; and as such for his family including Mr. Biden. Hunter no longer has any Fifth Amendment rights for that ten year period. Since he cannot be indicted and/or convicted of any crimes occurring during that period he cannot claim the exception to compelled testimony in legal proceedings for those instances involving self-incrimination.

That means that the houses of Congress can each call Hunter and demand his testimony with regard to all activities surrounding the instances of corruption. If Hunter refuses to testify he can be held in contempt and prosecuted by the Justice Department. If Hunter testifies and lies, that constitutes a new crime that has occurred after the period for which he was pardoned and he can be prosecuted by the Justice Department. And there is a new sheriff in town. Attorney General Pam Bondi is no Eric Holder or Merrick Garland who refused to prosecute administration members during the tenures of former President Barack Obama (D) and continued under Mr. Biden. Ms. Bondi is a straight shooter who actually believes in the rule of law and not just the rule of law for some. The same paradox applies to Mr. Biden and son Hunter in regard to any civil litigation involving the corrupt actions of Mr. Biden and Hunter. And finally, it applies to any impeachment inquiries that examine the conduct of Mr. Biden even though he may have completed his term – and the reason that it may still apply is because the impeachment process goes beyond removal of an errant public official – it includes the right to hold future public offices as well as entitlements to future emoluments. While it may not effect the salary to which former presidents are entitled, it most assuredly applies to payments for staff, rent, access to files and Secret Service protection.

I teetered on whether to continue to pursue Mr. Biden and/or Hunter or let them fade into the history books where they will be treated poorly – Liar-in-Chief and his grifter son. In the end, I come out on the side of pursuit simply because the American people have a right to know how easily public corruption invades a system that is geared toward preservation of power regardless of the Rule of Law. The light of day always is the best way to deal with government evil.

*The Catholic Church is unalterably opposed to abortion. So opposed that past Popes have regularly emphasized the Church’s opposition. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has stated uniformly: The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law.’”
