Rep. Yunker: Forecast shows more $$ for spending, less for Kicker?

Latest Oregon Economic and Revenue Forecast Shows More Money for State Spending, Less for the Kicker
By Oregon State Representative Dwayne Yunker,

SALEM, OR – Representative Dwayne Yunker (R-Grants Pass) criticized Gov. Tina Kotek’s Office of Economic Analysis for today’s economic and revenue forecast that predicts that the governor will be able to increase state spending by hundreds of millions of dollars while at the same time drives down taxpayers’ next kicker.

“Oregon’s private sector economy is in free fall,” said Representative Yunker “while our governor tries to paper over the problem with almost unlimited increases to government, healthcare, and education spending.”

“We must protect Oregon’s tax refund kicker and jumpstart our state economy by reducing the tax and regulatory burden on Oregon’s private sector businesses, especially in our hardest hit sectors such as manufacturing and forestry.”
