Earlier this month, multiple police and sheriff departments coordinated a significant arrest of 34 suspects of which included 26 outstanding warrants (which means most of these suspects had long criminal records and were wanted by police). In a post from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the coordinated effort resulted in the recovery of over $2,400 in stolen merchandise during a 10-hour operation at Clackamas Town Center, Clackamas Promenade, and other retailers in the area. This was also part of a greater effort to crack down on retail crime and organized retail crime across the US, as it being “coordinated by the Cook County State’s Attorney Regional Organized Crime Task Force (CCROC) in the State of Illinois (www.ccroc.org).” This is one of many operations across the State of Oregon as “additional retail crime missions led to a total of 105 arrests throughout the State of Oregon.”
