New film de-Americanizes, desecrates, politicizes Superman

Culture has become a political weapon with the  just-released Superman film as the latest example of liberals taking a symbol of patriotism and heroism and hijacking it.  Consider these points:

• Superman is famous worldwide for saying “Truth, Justice and the American Way”.  The new film has Superman saying “Truth, Justice and the Human Way”.   Most people alive today live in a country where they do not have most of the Bill of Right Constitutional protections we Americans were given in 1791.  Hollywood should go find another super-hero to say stupid things, instead of rewriting our patriotic ones.

• The writer and director of the film politicized the film by giving interviews claiming Superman is an immigrant and then using the film as a metaphor to show that America is hostile to immigrants.

• The film degrades the respect and honor Superman has earned over 70+ years.  His superhero partner, Supergirl, calls him a “bitch”.  He gets humiliated by being kicked in the crotch.   This is extremely inappropriate to do to a movie theater full of 6 year-old children watching their superhero on the screen.

• Most of the film, Superman is being portrayed as defeated, wounded and “pathetic” as blasted by critics.

• Superman’s human parents are portrayed as stereotypical country redneck simpletons.

• Superman’s biological parents, from another universe, gave him the charge to go to earth to take it over by spreading “his seed” with as many women as possible.   This turns Superman’s origin story into an evil one for no reason.  Disney did this with another American icon, Captain America just a few months ago.  In Disney’s 2025 “Captain America: Brave New World” they re-wrote Captain America’s WWII origin story of having the U.S. military inject a soldier with a serum of super-powers in order to defeat Hitler.  Very noble and patriotic. Disney’s new version is that the U.S. Military experimented on black people and then discarded them in their quest to find the right person.  This turns an existing, beloved patriotic super-hero story into a monstrous evil act for no reason other than to trash a 70+ year-old American story.

• Other political content includes, Conservative commentators get an insult in the film.  The film alludes to the Israel-Gaza conflict during the movie’s war scenes — with the bad guys being the Israel side.  Interesting choice of demonizing Israel, since Superman was created by two Jewish creators in 1933.  Coincidentally, once again, this is like Disney’s Captain American movie a few months earlier where they took a super-hero called Sabra (a Mossad agent) who was considered to be “Captain Israel” and stripped her of her Israel identity.  Instead of her as an agent of Mossad, they re-wrote her as an agent of the U.S. Military.

Why choose an existing pro-Israel super-hero only to remove her identity?

Why choose an American superhero known for patriotism (Superman, Captain America) and make them grossly unpatriotic?

Hollywood is doing nothing more than acting like rioters that tore down statues of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

Hollywood continues to destroy our American heroes and legends.  Please consider sending your ticket money somewhere else.

BONUS MENTION:

Since we are the topic of crotch-kicking, I remind readers that the comic books our kids’ read lasted nearly 100 years without such obscene scenes. Now that Hollywood has purchased the rights they are making it routine to degrade our heroes with groin kicks and other acts too numerous to mention in this article.

One more example.

Our children’s heroes are constantly shown on screen giving obscene gestures to others.

If Disney wishes to do adult themes with super-heroes, they should create new adult-theme super heroes, instead of taking the ones beloved by our kids for nearly 100 years and make them do obscene things on screen.
