Oregon Governor Tina Kotek’s errors and mis-spending is costing taxpayers a lot of unnecessary money.

Here is our running list of Kotek’s money errors:

• $270,000 for Special Session. Kotek’s special Session to pass the $4.3 billion tax, which should have occurred during the 6-month Session, but was dragged on for a month during September.   It cost taxpayers $270,000 to force lawmakers to gather in the State Capitol.

$200,000 for Asia travel junket.   Governor Kotek’s travel trip to South Korea is costing taxpayers $200,000.  This Kotek trip comes at the same time when called for a statewide freeze on government employee travel.

$140,000 for government employee for spouse.  Governor Kotek authorized a government employee to act as a scheduler for her spouse, which cost $140,000.   This action brought up an ethics investigation.

$200,000 for spouse conference.  It was a $200,000 taxpayer paid conference put on by Governor Kotek for which only 28 guests attended. It was a conference to highlight Aimee Kotek Wilson and her health care issues.

Don’t forget Governor Kotek’s $9,330 taco party.
