Geography by Geoff is a You Tube influencer with about a half-million subscribers.  He recently  put out this warning on the NW mountains of MT Rainer and Mt. Hood as ticking time bombs.

Even if this is a remote chance, would Oregon and Washington governmental emergency services be ready?

 

Oregon and Governor Kate Brown were unprepared for the 2021 state heat wave which killed over 100 people while the Governor held a wine fundraiser and didn’t even bother to issue an emergency declaration.

 

 

Oregon was unprepared for the 2024 snow storm.

 

 

Oregon’s constant wildfires are also a sign of mismanagement.
