Teachers unions keep offering you great reasons to get your kids out of the failing government run public schools as fast as you can.

A union strike hit Greater Albany Public Schools.

Teachers are walking the picket lines.

Less time in class in a state already infamous for having the shortest school year in America at 165 days.

Graduation rate last year was 81%.

You might think the schools only fail one child in five.

If only it were that simple.

Of the kids who stay in school, 43 percent fall below the minimum.

So between the dropouts and the “didn’t learns”, schools fail more than 50% of all kids.

By the way, Oregon’s spending on K-12 education ranks 21st in America…about the middle at more than 17-thousand bucks a year.

Heck, you could send your kid to University of Oregon for less than that.

Democrat Governors fixed that problem by promising the kids you can get a diploma even if you don’t know how to read, write or count. No kidding!

Just like T-ball, every kid gets a participation trophy.

And teachers demand bigger paychecks for that failure…and cheat the kids of days in class for their strike.

Time to rescue your kids from that mess…and time for education choice.
