Oregon summer of attacking churches, religion

Three Portland churches have been vandalized this summer and a fourth was saved from damage from marching anarchists by police intervention.

Portland Hinson Memorial Baptist Church and their adjacent pregnancy charity building (First Image ministry) suffered numerous broken windows and scrawled death threats in June. Both sites were attacked in broad daylight by over 50 masked people with an extreme Leftist and anarchist message. Police were present but were unable to intervene.  Pictures below:

Here is video of the people who attacked the Hinson church and their pregnancy charity.  Also, a heroic freelance journalist was attacked for daring to document the riot.

Also in June, both a Catholic church and Catholic school were vandalized.

This one included the message “If abortions aren’t safe neither are you” (photo Portland Archdiocese).

Since these incidences, Portland churches are now fearful of defacement and some are boarding up their windows in advance if a protest is planned in their neighborhood.

A June 24th 1,000 person rally at Downtown Portland sponsored by the Portland Democratic Socialist of America included a flood of messages hostile to religion.

Another person carried a sign saying “God performed the first abortion” and at the same rally site someone left a scrawling saying “God was a pedo” (short for pedophile).

One sign bearer called her opponents Christo-fascists.

At the rally people called for burning down the Supreme Court.   They also called to end Capitalism.

Just as four Oregon churches and four Oregon pregnancy charities have been attacked this summer, US Senator Elizabeth Warren told the media of Crisis Pregnancy Centers, “We need to shut them down here in Massachusetts, and we need to shut them down all around the country. You should not be able to torture a pregnant person like that.”   With extremist rhetoric like that we may expect more acts of vandalism and violence in Oregon.

Having four churches attacked is still low compared to last summer/spring where 8 Portland churches were vandalized and one Christian rally disrupted over various changing political issues that are different from the ones in 2022.

Some of the extremism listed and photographed in this article are * only * seen and documented by our Taxpayers Association Oregon reporters.   They are not found anywhere else.  We have done original riot reporting for three years now (see here).  If you value this type of journalism then please support us.
