Portland just did an emergency appropriation for $1.1 million to purchase new riot gear, munitions and training fro officers ahead of possible summer riots (think summer political conventions) and for the Fall General Election.

The Taxpayers Association of Oregon just reported how Portland State University rioters cost taxpayers $1.3 million in costs for just 60 days of protests.

This does not count the cost of rioters setting arson to 15 Portland Police vehicles in May.

That would boost the cost to another million ($70,000 per vehicle estimate)

That makes it $3.3 million in additional cost to taxpayers spent in the past 60 days to handle riots in Portland.
