Rep. E. Werner Reschke: Happy Veterans Day

Soon we will gather around the Thanksgiving table in remembrance with gratitude for all we have. In that spirit, I want to give a special thanks to our veterans who have served our state and nation well. These men and women gave of their time and talent when their nation needed them. Their sacrifice is an important part of what makes our nation strong — an important part of our culture and heritage.

Thank you for your Service.

Many of these men and women carry with them the emotional scars from battle or trauma from being away from loved ones for an extended period of time. Therefore, on this day that we set aside to honor them and their service, be sure to thank a veteran for all they have done, and continue to do. Service is in their blood, and they are often the first to volunteer to help in our communities.
