On the very last of the Oregon Secretary of State’s job, LaVonne Griffin-Valade released her Audit’s Division report on Oregon Governor Tina Kotek’s conflict of interest investigation regarding her spouse and other office issues.

Here is what they found as detailed by Willamette Week:

• Governor Kotek unlawfully extended paid parking benefits to her spouse and another official as well.
• Governor Kotek’s office paid for entertainment for an event with no state purpose.
• Governor Kotek’s office paid for a $6,000 BBQ party event with no state purpose.

Governor Kotek’s “parties-with-no-state-purpose” fits the pattern of her other scandal, the $200,000 conference event for her spouse where only 28 people attended.

Previously, Governor Kotek had come under fire for dedicating a $143,000 staff employee as an assistant for her spouse, as well as office space.   The spouse is also under fire for lobbying which can violate Oregon Ethics Laws.  Four top Governor officials resigned during this unfolding scandal.
