Multnomah lets most theft, shoplifting cases go free

KGW-TV reports that Multnomah County District Attorney is letting over 50% of all theft cases go free as dismissed.   This make sit open season on shoplifting.

This is despite the surrounding counties having around 90% prosecution rate.

This contributes to Oregon having a 450% increase in liquor theft.

Last week, a newlywed couple had their wedding items stolen during their honeymoon.

 

 

Oregon faced a 270% increase in catalytic converters.  Look at this home below that had over 1,000 catalytic converters stolen.
